Job description:

What are the main functions of this role? Support and coordinate the purchasing activities in procuring materials and services. Complete purchase order packages to meet company and government requirements. Negotiate Terms and Conditions, NDAs with vendors and work with legal on proposed changes. Support negotiations with suppliers for assigned commodities to achieve the best price, quality, and schedule. Analyze and interpret detailed information; make sound and accurate judgment based on this information and previous knowledge. Maintains liaison with suppliers and internal organizations to prevent program delays. Set and maintain accurate part lead times in the system and hold suppliers accountable to their commitments and to meet performance expectations. Buy parts according to specifications ensuring compliance to quality standards. Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues. Work cross functionally with other departments such as Engineering, Quality, Production, Planning, and Accounting to met business needs. Provide purchasing and expediting support to the company for critical material shortage. Review open orders for critical parts on a regular basis to avoid last minute expedite. Manage supplier setup and recertification process.


Required Skill Sets: Excellent MS Excel skills must have experience in Excel creating tables, formulas, and organizing data into a presentable format. Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, self-motivated, and be able to drive a process from start to finish. Excellent interpersonal skills, analytical, verbal, organizational skills, ability to balance short term priorities, and exceptional informational analysis. Excellent scheduling and time management skills. Exhibits a high level to attention to detail. Skilled in coordinating and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in a fast-paced environment.


Desired Skill Sets: Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance SAP/PRISM experience preferred Experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry is preferred but not required.



Pay Rate: $26 - $ 31.00/hr per hour.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
