SNC is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Unmanned
Aerial System (UAS) Special Technology & Mission System Engineer to
join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be
responsible for the design, development, and integration of
advanced technology solutions for UAS and missile systems.The ISR
(Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and
Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is
a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for
innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its
end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and
Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities
encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight
training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to
customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs
to consistently exceed expectations - with an unrivaled record of
on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.Responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering design and development of special
technology solutions for UAS and missile systems.
- Directs research into advanced concepts and prototypes for
various communication, sensor, electronic warfare, and other
electromagnetic systems and components to develop new business
opportunities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the
successful integration of advanced technologies into mission
systems.
- Develop and document system requirements, specifications, and
design documentation.
- Conduct system analysis, modeling, and simulation to support
design decisions.
- Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for
mission-critical projects.
- Oversee the implementation, testing, and validation of UAS and
missile systems and technologies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulatory
requirements, and security protocols.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
and project teams.
- Stay current with advancements in UAS, missile technology, and
mission systems engineering.
- Assist with proposals to support development of new
business.Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's of Science degree in System Engineering or related
discipline and typically 14 or more years of relevant
experience
- Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and
practices
- Progressive experience working in multi-disciplinary design and
development teams
- Advanced understanding of requirements management, functional
requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design,
systems integration, technical risk identification and management
strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V)
principles
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in systems engineering, with
a focus on UAS or missile systems and special technologies.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles,
lifecycle processes, and methodologies.
- Proficiency in systems modeling and simulation tools such as
MATLAB, Simulink, or equivalent.
- Experience with advanced technology integration, including
sensors, communication systems, and control systems.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements
relevant to defense and aerospace systems.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security
Clearance is requiredQualifications We Prefer:
- Experience with Low Observable (LO) Technology Estimated
Starting Salary Range: $165,010.21 - $226,889.04. Compensation
varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates'
key skills, relevant work experience, and
education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may
be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated
with the location at which the position may be filled.SNC offers
annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate
with the level of the position. SNC offers a generous benefit

150% match up to 6%, life insurance, 3 weeks paid time off, tuition

the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security
Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position
needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S.
