Position Overview: We are seeking a part-time Optometrist to provide compassionate eye care to the elderly. This role is perfect for an optometrist looking to supplement their current schedule and income while making a meaningful impact in the community. As an independent contractor, you'll have full administrative support-including scheduling, billing, and equipment-so you can focus 100% on patient care. About Us Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is a family-owned healthcare organization with over 25 years of experience. We specialize in bringing essential healthcare services directly to seniors, ensuring greater accessibility to quality care. Operating in 20+ states, we provide on-site optometry, dentistry, podiatry, and audiology services to Senior Centers, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Assisted Living Facilities, and Veteran Homes. We handle all logistics-from scheduling to equipment-so our providers can focus on delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive eye exams for elderly patients, assessing visual acuity and eye health. Detect and manage conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. Prescribe and adjust corrective lenses as needed. Educate patients on eye care best practices, including dry eye management, fall prevention, and overall vision health. Collaborate with facility staff to ensure seamless coordination of care. Adapt care approaches to accommodate patients with cognitive or physical limitations. Qualifications Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution. Active state optometry license (required). Experience in geriatric optometry preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining a patient-centered approach. Schedule & Pay 1 day per month (Weekday availability required). Typical hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (8-hour shift). Pay: $900-$1,000 per day (gaurenteed full day payment) Additional Information This is a contract (1099) position.
