office 5 days a weekWhat this job involves: The Sr. Director of
Operations serves as a business partner and leader to the local
Leasing business in JLL's Rocky Mountain Region (RMR). The position
is located in Denver and also supports the Salt Lake City corporate
office. The position will partner closely with the local Broker
Leads, with specific oversight of the Operation Director and Sales
Coordinators. This role reports to the Executive Director of
Operations for the West and partners with other Sr. Directors
throughout the region to help drive consistency and collaboration.
This role involves streamlining processes, managing day-to-day
operations, supporting business growth initiatives, and ensuring
the firm's operational efficiency.We are seeking an experienced and
strategic Senior Operations Director to lead and optimize the
operational aspects of our Leasing business line. The successful
candidate will play a crucial role in driving operational
excellence, implementing best practices, and enhancing the overall
efficiency of our brokerage services. This position will drive the
development and execution of annual business plans and strategic
initiatives helping to grow the business year over year. They will
be the main contact for Finance, Human Resources, Research,
Marketing and IT enabling programs that improve productivity and
expand capacity at all levels in the market. The role provides a
unique opportunity with exposure to all aspects of the business in
a fast-paced environment.Key responsibilitiesStrategic Planning and
Execution:
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives aligned with JLL's
brokerage business goals
- Collaborate with senior leadership to set and achieve long-term
objectives
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and
growthOperational Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the brokerage business
line
- Optimize processes to enhance productivity and service
quality
- Implement and maintain operational policies and
proceduresPerformance Management:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor
progress
- Analyze operational data to identify trends and areas for
improvement
- Establish broker business plans and track against progress
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational
efficiencyTeam Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations and
brokerage team
- Work with leadership and recruiting/HR for hiring and
onboarding of new team members
- Identify learning opportunities and provide training as
needed
- Ensure alignment between Marketing, Research, Sales Enablement
and Sales Coordinators to provide best in class support to
brokers
- Responsible for overall corporate culture, reward & recognition
programs, mentor programs, events, and employee engagement
initiatives
- Manage marginal performersTechnology and Innovation:
- Drive adoption and utilization of firm's sales enablement,
business development and technology platforms
- Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance service
delivery
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practicesFinancial
Management:
- Manage operational budgets and resources effectively
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service
quality
- Contribute to financial planning and forecasting processes
- Partner with Finance to ensure complete, accurate and timely
reporting
- Meet KPI metrics and margin targets
- Ensure AR over 60 days
- Closed transaction processing and invoicing
- Ensure regular review/updates of pipeline (WIP)
- Ensure compliance with Firm's, region and or local market
specific policies, including expense policies and pre-approval
requirementsRisk Management and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry
standards
- Develop and maintain risk management strategies
- Track and update all salesperson/broker and all corporate
business licenses
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address
potential issuesClient Relationship Management:
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through operational
excellence
- Address and resolve complex operational issues that impact
client relationships
- Contribute to business development initiatives when
neededInterested? An ideal candidate would need to have the
following qualifications:Required
- 10+ years of progressive experience in operations management,
preferably in the real estate, brokerage, professional services or
sales industry
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or
related field preferred or MBA
- Strong background and work experience in Finance, P&L /
budget oversight
- Proven track record of leading and optimizing complex
operations
- Demonstrated leadership ability with collaborative management
style
- Critical thinker with high emotional intelligence and strong
conflict management ability
- Strong business acumen to understand/provide context for
decisions; able to influence and challenge decisions as
appropriate
- Proven experience developing high performance teams; high
employee engagement and effective delegator
- Excellent project management ability; solution oriented,
organized and resourceful
- Demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards
and confidentiality
- Maintain required competencies around all required software
including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office suite,
OneDrive/SharePoint, LeasingOS, Dealio, CoStar, Blackbird, CRM, and
others, as required
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced sales environment
